Something Rare and Precious

My husband Jeff and I roasted oysters this past weekend; probably our last oyster roast until the fall.

As we were opening the shells and scraping out the little mollusks, it made me think about the process a (non-edible) oyster goes through to create a pearl.  It’s a slow process.  It takes an oyster years; wrapping layer upon layer of nacre (mother of pearl) on top of a piece of sand.  The ultimate result is a pearl, one of nature’s most beautiful creations.    Pearls are rare because not every oyster produces a pearl.  In fact, out of a ton of pearl-producing oysters, there is usually only one or two that actually have pearls inside of them.

Because the oyster is committed to hard work over time, the outcome is something precious.  I think this is not unlike our client relationships at CFL.  We strive to provide a smooth transaction at every point of contact we have with our clients.  We hope that our in-process touch points, after-closing communications and client appreciation events set us apart from other mortgage companies.  Just like the oysters’ outward appearance, loan transactions are not always pretty.  Loans don’t go perfectly smooth every time; there are just too many unpredictable variables such as: appraisals, sellers, home inspections and ever-changing loan guidelines to name a few.  However, we strive daily to make the experience seamless for our clients.  With this commitment, we hope to obtain something treasured and valuable in the end…a Client for Life.

Thank you to all of our clients…you are precious and valuable to every person at CFL.
